Life in the Swimlane with Jonathan Badal, Sr. Business Development Representative
</think> Jonathan Badal, a Senior Business Development Representative at Swimlane, focuses on helping organizations improve their security posture through meaningful conversations and efficient solutions. What does your job entail?

My work in Sales Development is really about helping organizations get their security posture right while finding ways to be more efficient. It isn’t just about making calls; it’s about having actual, meaningful conversations. I spend my time identifying the real headaches security teams are dealing with and showing them how we can help them save resources and fix their security stack. I see myself as the bridge between the technical problems they face and the solutions we provide.

What do you enjoy most about working at Swimlane?

The culture here is honestly unmatched. What I appreciate most is how genuinely collaborative everyone is: if you hit a roadblock, you’re never alone; there’s always a teammate ready to jump in and help. The open-door policy here isn’t just a corporate talking point; it’s the reality. Everyone is approachable, and it feels like we’re all invested in each other’s success.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

When I’m off the clock, my life is centered on my family. If I’m not spending time with my kids, you’ll usually find me in the garage working on cars. It’s a great way to disconnect from technology and just work with my hands. I’m also a big fan of gardening; there’s something really rewarding about putting in the work and watching your garden grow.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I was born on a Leap Year! It’s a great conversation starter, and it definitely makes my birthday celebrations a bit more unique every year.

Three words that best describe you?

Hard working, humble, team player

What Swimlane core value resonates with you the most?

Integrity

What type of impact do you want to leave on our industry?

I want to know that I did everything in my power to help make this organization as successful as I possibly could. It’s important to me to feel that the opportunities we’ve created—and the wins we’ve had—were a direct result of the hard work I put in.
