Here’s My 3-Year Self-Taught Journey

Three years ago, I was a BCA student. I loved technology, but my classes were boring and theoretical. I wanted to hack things, break systems, and learn how the internet really worked — not just memorize definitions for exams.
So, I made the scariest decision of my life: I dropped out. When I dropped out of college, everyone around me said I was making the biggest mistake of my life. My parents wanted me to focus on government exams, my friends were getting degrees, and I was sitting in my hostel room late at night, scrolling YouTube, watching videos of ethical hackers capturing flags in CTFs and bug bounty hunters earning thousands and asking myself again and again … “Can I really teach myself cybersecurity without a degree?”
Fast forward to today — three years later — I’m a self-taught cybersecurity researcher, earning by writing for tech startups, contributing to Infosec Write-ups and even exploring Web3 security. This is my complete journey — how I went…
