It’s been a while since I’ve written here. I’ve been caught up with my new job and working on a personal project (more on that in a bit 👀).
And that’s exactly why I’m here today — to showcase my initial prototype and maybe get some help from the community.
What’s the problem, MrXcrypt?
If you’re new to ricing Linux, you’ve probably heard of r/unixporn or r/LinuxPorn — the go-to places for ricing inspiration and dotfiles. But here’s the catch:
- These subreddits are not just for ricing and it has a mixture of content.
- So they may feel a bit unorganized when you’re specifically searching for rices.
- There’s no easy way to filter based on your WM/DE.
- You end up scrolling endlessly, hoping to find something that matches your setup.
Remainder: Just to be clear: I’m not saying r/unixporn is bad — in fact, it’s hands down the best place for ricing content. I’m just saying… it’s not only for ricing.
