I'm a guy in my early 30s and getting serious about dating and relationships. I don't have any prior experience except for a few dates I went on last year with women I met on Hinge and Bumble. Nothing went ahead possibly because:

• I'm not exactly good looking right now

• The in-person chemistry wasn't good (It was great on some dates but still the dates had cold feet afterward)

• I'm just not doing something that needs to be done

• Again there could be something else that I'm missing and would appreciate it if you could share it with me!

The problem is I am a good texter and can unexpectedly flirty well over text but that isn't translating in person.

I see so many books on Amazon about dating and flirting and so on. I'm very confused about them and having FOMO because what if the secret I need is in the book I don't have? Therefore, I'm here in the sub asking social engineering folks if they have a book that I should read that I can implement? I don't want to read too much because I know I'm gonna end up learning nothing. If you had to tell me just one book in the context of dating, which one would it be?
