The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is the European Union's annual campaign, organized by the European cyber security agency ENISA and the European Commission, which provides for the entire month of OCTOBER, a variety of activities, conferences, conventions and events in all EU member countries designed to promote greater awareness and knowledge among citizens about cyber threats, methods to counter them, and provide up-to-date information on cyber protection and cybersecurity.
The official motto of #ECSM 2024 is #Think Before U Click!
In this year's campaign, the goal remains, as usual, to spread the knowledge and tools needed to protect ourselves from cyber criminals.
Cyber criminals nowadays employ increasingly sophisticated and clever tactics using social engineering, to breach our security defenses and take possession of our data. Sometimes some business necessities and the haste to achieve goals, can distract from what has become a global and unavoidable issue today: CYBERSECURITY.
The European Cybersecurity Month is coordinated by ENISA - European Union Agency for Cybersecurity - and the European Commission together with a number of organizations, universities and research centers across Europe.
TG Soft Cyber Security Specialist, a CLUSIT associate, is also actively participating in the ECSM, promoting cyber security awareness and diffusion, as well as providing concrete tools to protect against cyber scams, thanks to 100% Italian proprietary technologies that can counter cyber attacks.

Outreach and awareness activities:
- Technical/ informative seminar organized by the Association of Engineers of Padua together with the Padua Engineers Foundation on October 31, 2024 entitled "From Ransomware to Advanced Persistent Threat (APT): Silent Warfare in the 5th Domain".The event speaker will be Eng. (Anti Malware Research Center);
- Weekly report on malspam campaigns detected internationally with specific focus on those targeting Italy and spreading Ransomware, PasswordStealer, TrojanBanker and whatnot;
- Monthly report on the most common Phishing attempts and how to recognize them, so as to protect our personal information from cyber criminals.
Tools and technologies to counter cyber attacks:
