Trustwave has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific (APAC) Managed Security Services (MSS) 2024 Vendor Assessment (IDC #AP51571224, September 2024) and a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Professional Security Services 2024 Vendor Assessment (IDC #AP51571324, September 2024).

"Trustwave is proud to be recognized as a Leader and a Major Player respectively by the IDC MarketScape in MSS and PSS across APAC", said Trustwave CEO Eric Harmon. "We believe the recognition highlights our client’s high satisfaction with our advanced security solutions and the expertise of our industry-leading professionals, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to advancing cybersecurity both in APAC and globally."

"Trustwave provides a comprehensive suite of offensive and defensive cybersecurity services, collaborating closely with clients to develop a clear road map for mitigating cyber threats", The IDC MarketScape for PSS noted.

The report noted, “Trustwave's strengths are rooted in its ability to deliver scale, flexibility, and speed to its customers. Feedback highlights that the delivery team consistently meets deadlines with timely deliverables, and customers have expressed high satisfaction with Trustwave's value-added services, especially their thought leadership contributions.”

Professional Security Services refer to one-time or project-based security consulting and implementation services, like penetration testing or security audits, while Managed Security Services involve ongoing monitoring, management, and response to security threats across an organization's network and systems, usually provided by a third-party provider on a subscription basis. Essentially, professional services address specific security issues on demand, while managed services provide continuous security oversight and maintenance.

An MSS Leader

The IDC MarketScape for MSS evaluated 22 vendors that provide MSS within the highly competitive and maturing Asia/Pacific market. The participating firms were meticulously evaluated using the IDC MarketScape model, which reviews the vendors' capabilities and strategies against an extensive list of scoring criteria and parameters.

"The combination of Trustwave's advanced technological capabilities and its commitment to enhancing service delivery ensures that clients feel well-supported in their security operations", the IDC MarketScape for MSS noted, adding, "Enterprises should consider Trustwave for their comprehensive MSS offerings, tailored to the needs of midsize to large enterprises across sectors, such as BFSI, government, and critical infrastructure."

The report also noted, “Trustwave's MSS offerings are designed to address the full spectrum of cybersecurity challenges faced by modern enterprises. The MDR service provides 24x7 threat detection, Threat Hunt (TH), investigation, and response. It incorporates EDR technology deployment, management, monitoring, and proactive TH, augmented with optional forensic and incident response capabilities. The service is available at multiple levels, providing clients with flexibility based on their specific security needs.”

Trustwave's Leader position was earned based on its deep portfolio of security solutions deployed under its MSS umbrella. IDC specifically highlighted Trustwave's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution, which "provides 24x7 threat detection, TH, investigation, and response."

The report also mentioned, “In parallel, investments in emerging technologies, such as quantum-safe cryptography and blockchain, are setting the stage for future-proof security solutions capable of addressing the next generation of cyber challenges.”

A Major Player in PSS

The PSS IDC MarketScape examined 19 vendors offering professional security services in the Asia/Pacific market. The assessment focuses on key vendors providing short-term, project-based services that help organizations address their evolving cybersecurity needs. IDC MarketScape evaluated these vendors across multiple criteria, including their ability to deliver consulting services, governance, risk and compliance (GRC) support, and incident management solutions.

"Unlike transactional, one-time engagements, Trustwave fosters a deep partnership with clients, helping them understand and address their unique security challenges holistically", IDC MarketScape for PSS said, adding, "The vendor guides its customers through their security transformation, bringing clarity and focus to their overall strategies, policies, capabilities, and architectures."

The report also noted, “Among the various tools and solutions offered by Trustwave, the Fusion Platform stands as a cornerstone of the company's commitment to delivering high-quality and consistent security services. The Fusion Platform is seamlessly integrated with Trustwave's proprietary SpiderLabs, which leverages advanced analytics and extensive threat intelligence to enhance security outcomes. Trustwave's SpiderLabs team also plays an active role in the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), an open community focused on empowering organizations to design, develop, acquire, operate, and maintain secure and trustworthy applications.”

The report went on to say, “Complementing this direct approach, the vendor collaborates with key distributor and reseller partners, notably Singtel in Asia and Optus in the Pacific, fostering mutually beneficial relationships that integrate Trustwave's cybersecurity services with the partners' telecommunications and ICT offerings.”

"Trustwave's strengths are rooted in its ability to deliver scale, flexibility, and speed to its customers", IDC MarketScape for PSS said.

The IDC report noted, "Feedback highlights that the delivery team consistently meets deadlines with timely deliverables, and customers have expressed high satisfaction with Trustwave's value-added services, especially their thought leadership contributions."
