Welcome to the “Life in the Swimlane” blog series. Here we will feature interviews with Swimlaners to learn more about their experience. This series will give you a preview of Swimlane, our culture, and the people who keep us going.
My name is Emily Spector, but I go by Spec. I’m originally from Dallas, Texas but have lived in Denver for the past four years. I come from a big family of four siblings, even though it seems we all are nothing alike. I played professional basketball over seas until I was 25. And I have the cutest pitbull mix, named Jasper. He comes with a lot of snuggles… and anxiety.
I have been with Swimlane for a year and a half.
This is going to sound corny, but the family culture at Swimlane is my favorite. Everyone supports one another and wants to see every department succeed
Getting to work with the best team everyday. From the collaboration, to wanting to see everyone win, to the amount of knowledge and hard work everyone has. It makes it hard to not be excited about this group and this place.
Basketball (duh), snowboarding, hiking, camping, watching the history channel, traveling the world, your typical Colorado girlie stuff, ha.
The Special Olympics!
I have a twin that looks nothing like me (no seriously, we went to high school together and everyone just thought we were best friends). For context, she is 5’7 with dirty blonde hair and green eyes, and I’m 5’10 with blue eyes.
Punch above your weight class… If you know me, you know i’m competitive as hell, enough said.
Being able to connect and provide solutions in our industry that is constantly evolving and changing.
