This instructional article will demonstrate the Survalyzer configuration process of Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) Signatures to ensure Survalyzer passes the DMARC alignment check and eliminate spam from your domain and increase security.
The SPF record identifies the mail servers and domains that are allowed to send email on behalf of your domain. The DKIM record, on the other hand, is a specially formatted DNS TXT record that stores the public key the receiving mail server will use to verify a message’s signature. These email authentication methods will be used to prove to ISPs and mail services that senders are truly authorized to send email from a particular domain and are a way of verifying your email sending server is sending emails through your domain.
The process of configuring SPF
In order to authenticate Survalyzer on SPF, please contact the Survalyzer support team to let them assist you with SPF configuration.
The process of configuring DKIM
To authenticate Survalyzer on DKIM, you’ll need to create a TXT record based on your data center. The details are outlined below:
- Swiss data center ([yourcompany].survalyzer-swiss.app)
TXT-Record
Name: survalyzer2._domainkey
Value: v=DKIM1; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQCyLEF4ub+ESZoHRu5rRsiFsVF0icl8SqwNJQ3n4jv4TN77yKuBPEwjkiJmnhPK/Vq3nurJaH7C1TbMHtblTKVIOqOHP74R5FxUcsPgq65Hxd+3EFEYWHgSN20Rf0EmHNYGk/UJCzGx8SwAWrWQcnJIq7Pl6mwXIoutiveBIKHgTQIDAQAB
- EU data center ([yourcompany].survalyzer-eu.app)
TXT-Record
Name: survalyzer2._domainkey
Value: v=DKIM1; p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4GNADCBiQKBgQDKyMtpfoipHUnOITQ8ZzsfQO/u5iuIVLblgQtnrlQMyPt5+oOhWteViqJZxo/5TC79Ir1MeQP8l/F/t1Nq6zCmU/8l7pBTGp1VrMV4rGOuLaoWNRHBDPVn2GRrutHp4ud8I7V19QoTkCffH6uY/Zcbtmte28LECmxj6Cxi2GJldwIDAQAB
Please follow these steps:
- Login and head to your DNS Zone provider
- Create a new TXT record
- Input the DNS name and value provided above
- Save the record
Screenshot below will show you the example of the DKIM record. We’ll be using CloudFlare for this example.
Congratulations, you now successfully authenticated your outgoing mail stream from Survalyzer with SPF and DKIM.
