自 2022 年以来，硅谷科技公司裁员逾 4 万人，对于每一轮裁员，员工都进入了一个对求职者不像过去那么友好的市场。Women Impact Tech 的调查显示，科技企业在裁员的同时也降低了薪酬。相比美国的其它科技中心，硅谷的薪酬最高但降薪幅度也最大。薪酬从 2022 年到 2023 年下降了 15%。Women Impact Tech 总裁 Paula Bratcher Ratliff 表示，降薪对女性影响更为严重。
