Hi there! (This is a really long post!)
This might seem like a mental health post, but it relates to your field of expertise in the end, and I need your help. I believe I have a good reason for coming here.
I have undiagnosed mental and developmental disorders, and because of this, I’ve always had issues building relationships with others. (I suspect autism spectrum disorder, and a psychologist told me that.)
For this reason, I’ve picked up different books on self-help and manipulation subjects a few times in my life, hoping that I can make friends with that knowledge eventually. (If I can’t have friends in a normal way, then I have to force others to be my friends.)
Eventually, I realized that no amount of manipulation can replace mutual understanding and genuine connection. Manipulation brings only shallow experiences and relationships that exhaust me more than relax.
However, there’s one last piece of self-help and manipulation that I keep using, mostly because I found the information provided by the author to be reliable. It’s related to body language and people manipulation. The information in that resource helped me understand people in different situations. It helped me tell if someone is joking or not, if someone is uncomfortable or scared, and so on. It helps me in my social interactions greatly and actually makes me care for others. With this system, people stop being empty, shallow husks for me and turn into meaningful beings. I love it because I naturally don’t care about others at all!
The thing is, I haven’t learned everything that book was telling me. I’ve learned maybe 20% of the entire body language system, and those 20% have brought the results you read above.
Because of this, I’ve started to dig deeper into the system described in that book. I want to have the full skillset for understanding others, making genuine connections, and finally being at peace.
The book’s name is “Ellipsis Manual,” and the system I’m digging into is “Behavioral Table of Elements.”
I’ve noticed the author’s social media presence and believe him to be a charlatan who prioritizes marketing over creating reliable content. His social media persona is a facade, and I don’t believe a single word he says in any video. His marketing strategy revolves around hyping people about their potential if they buy his products, which undoubtedly works for him financially.
However, if his products are unreliable, why is his first tool so dependable for me? Perhaps his initial product was genuinely legitimate, but why does it deceive me? I was reviewing the information provided in the BToE yesterday and discovered that some statements about expressing sadness are misleading and inaccurate.
Now, let’s address the question that has been on my mind throughout this post:
Has anyone read the Ellipsis manual and found it reliable?
Should I seek out alternative resources to better understand and connect with others? Unfortunately, healthcare is not an option, and I can’t afford to pay 200 euros each month for advice to simply go for a walk.
