Last month, the Sekoia.io Tech & Product teams decamped in southern Brittany for our 2025 internal Hackathon. Over three intense days, seven self-organized squads took on one mission: deliver measurable, customer-centric enhancements to the AI-SOC platform. From faster page loads to AI-driven Incident Assistants, here’s how we combined creativity, autonomy and team spirit to build real value for our users.
Since our first Hackathon in 2017, Sekoia.io’s annual gathering has been a laboratory for new ideas—proof that when you give engineers, product managers and designers the freedom to focus on a single challenge, great things happen fast. This year, CTPO Georges Bossert turned the theme squarely toward customer satisfaction: every team had to pitch and prototype a feature that our clients could use right away.
In total, 35 Sekoians split into seven squads, each tackling a distinct pain point:
What made this edition extra special wasn’t just the technical scope, but how teams booked the villa, planned meals, scheduled stand-ups—and even organized beachfront team-building activities—without a single support ticket to HQ. That level of ownership is the heart of our culture.
On Demo Day, we welcomed five top executives as judges: CEO Freddy Milesi, CFO Thérèse Favet, Secretary General Yolaine Tranchevent, VP Corporate Strategy & Alliances Martial Outrey and VP Sales Engine Antoine Heuzé. Rather than a purely ceremonial role, each leader joined teams at key checkpoints over the three days—coaching on go-to-market viability, user adoption risks and ROI. When it came time to vote, they evaluated each prototype through the lens of customer value, awarding the top prize to the Incident Communications AI, which promises to halve customer reporting times.
“Seeing executives roll up their sleeves alongside developers sends a powerful message. It underscores that customer satisfaction isn’t just a buzzword—it’s an enterprise-wide commitment at Sekoia.io.”
Georges Bossert, CTPO
Hackathon ideas don’t disappear into a PDF drawer. Over the coming weeks, each winning team will collaborate with our UX, QA and Security squads to harden their MVPs for beta release. We expect to roll out the Playbook Performance improvements and AI-Powered Intake Assistant to Early Adopters by Q1 2026—bringing faster detections and smoother workflows directly into the hands of our customers.

At Sekoia.io, our annual hackathons are more than a team-building exercise—they’re a reminder that ownership, autonomy and customer obsession fuel innovation. Here’s to another year of pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity together.
